GETTING STARTED IN CALL OF DUTY: WARZONE WITH SCUF BASICS

Call of Duty: Warzone has been released as the first free to play Call Of Duty title by Activision and Infinity Ward. Whether you're playing with a full squad or solo, find out how SCUF can make you a better player so you can dominate the field in Warzone.

Learning the Advantage of Paddles

At a baseline, Paddles give you a huge advantage than without. You can keep your thumb on the thumbstick to aim while using other key functions like jumping, crouching, sliding, swapping weapons, etc. 

If you’re used to playing without Paddles, you may find them a little strange at first. With practice, you’ll see why Paddles make a difference when you play; you may even find you don’t want to use the face buttons anymore.

Let’s start with learning how to use the Paddle Control System: Starting with two paddles. The SCUF Infinity4PSPRO features 2 paddles only, while the SCUF Prestige and SCUF IMPACT feature 4 paddles, but feel free to remove the inner two Paddles or ignore them for now.

By default, the Left Outer Paddle is mapped to Jump (X on PS4, A on Xbox) and the right outer paddle is mapped to Crouch/Slide (O on PS4, B on Xbox). 

Begin by using the paddles to Jump and Crouch/Slide while ignoring their face buttons during gameplay. No worries if it takes a little bit of time to get used to. Once you feel comfortable, move onto the next step if you have a SCUF Prestige or SCUF Impact.

Having more Paddles available allows you to use more of your hand to perform all your necessary functions while aiming. Now with the additional two paddles, you can begin to Swap Weapons and Reload/Interact as well. 

By default, the Inner Left Paddle is mapped to Reload/Interact (Square on PS4, X on Xbox) and the inner right Paddle is mapped to Weapon Swap (Triangle on PS4, Y on Xbox). 

Repeat the same process as before, but now incorporating one of the inner two paddles first. Take your time getting used to using three paddles, then move onto using all four. Ignore their face buttons until you’re comfortable with using all the Paddles. 

With regular practice, it can take up to two weeks to be completely used to them.

Jump, Crouch/Slide, Swap Weapons, and Reload/Interact while having your thumb on the thumbstick ready for anything that comes your way. 

Remapping the Paddles for your Playstyle

Now that you’ve mastered the paddles, now you can remap to suit your preferred playstyle. Hold the EMR key at the back of the controller, then press and hold the button you want to map to your paddle. Maybe you’d rather have Melee on the Paddles instead of Crouching, or Ping on the Paddles so you can keep your left thumb on the stick to move.
