Expert Controller Settings in Call of Duty: Warzone

Expert Controller Settings in Call of Duty: Warzone

With Warzone taking over the scene, there are going to be a lot of experienced players out on the map. Learn to play like a pro and gain the advantage with the best possible controller settings.

In this guide, we'll be going over all of our recommended game settings in combination with controller settings  to really improve how you play.

Expert Game Settings

  • Change Use/Reload Behavior to Contextual Tap. You will no longer have to hold down to Interact with items, doors, etc.

  • Change your Mini Map Shape to Square. It’ll give you just a little more to look at to have more information than with the Circle shape.

  • Turn Off Automatic Sprint. It’s better to plan when you want to sprint, because oftentimes a lot of people die just from running around a corner without thinking.

  • If you missed it in our Improving Your Aim Guide, we have a couple more suggestions which will help have more control over your aim.

    • Set ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (Low Zoom) to 0.88

    • Repeat for ADS Sensitivity Multiplier (High Zoom)

  • Turn Off Controller Vibration. It’ll keep your aim more steady.

Like we discussed in Getting Started in Warzone Paddles help you keep your thumbs on the sticks. This is important to be able to stay locked on the enemy with your aim, but also be able to defend yourself, reload, or swap weapons during a fight.

These layouts cover all your essential functions so you don’t have to sacrifice your aim and movement. You can also try out other layouts to find the best one for how you like to play.

Digital TAP Bumpers and Digital Triggers

These features completely eliminate the range of movement of the bumpers and triggers and provides a feel similar to a mouse click. This is only recommended for players who only play shooter games.

The Digital TAP Bumpers and Digital Triggers are currently only available for SCUF IMPACT & SCUF Infinity4PSPRO.

Trigger Control System

SCUF’s Trigger Control system is available on every controller model and offers full trigger customization through adjustable trigger stops and hair triggers.

For Call of Duty, you will want to have your trigger stops on unless you plan on using vehicles (which require the full trigger motion to operate).

They will reduce the amount your trigger has to travel past the activation point and will allow for faster shooting and aiming, especially efficient with semi-automatic weapons.

To further tune your trigger movement, the hair triggers will allow you to modify the distance to the activation point so firing and aiming becomes a one-tap process.

You should only adjust your hair triggers in game; start by turning the key until you hit the activation point which is where your weapon will start shooting on its own, then dial it back 1 turn, or to your preference.

High Performance Grip

While you’re playing for hours on end earning wins, high-performance grip will reduce slippage and increase comfort during long hours of play. Don’t let sweaty hands get in the way of your wins.

Dominate the Battlefield

Now that you have customized the different aspects of your controller and tuned your gameplay settings, it’s time to jump in-game and test your new setup using these Call of Duty: Warzone controller tips! Using all these key features will give you the advantage you need to win.
