CoD Black Ops 6 Zombies is set to introduce exciting gameplay with some old and new features that’ll enhance the gaming experience. Following the Black Ops 6 reveal, the entire Call of Duty player base has been busy digging up information on various aspects of the game. In this article, we’ll dive deeper into the mechanics and lore of CoD Zombies for the latest title, so let’s go!
The iconic Black Ops Cold War Zombies squad is back with a bang, and they are accompanied by a brand-new squad member. Similar to the previous titles, players can play as either of the four options. This is undoubtedly exciting news for everyone looking to play with new characters in the upcoming Call of Duty Zombies mode. Here’s a list of all of the currently confirmed characters:
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is set to feature an in-depth character selection system that’ll provide players with a far better gaming experience than the previous titles. Treyarch Studios has gifted all four of these characters with one-of-a-kind unique lines. They’ll also be able to interact with other squad members and enemies while also holding specific details for players to figure out as the game’s story progresses, allowing for a more in-depth experience than some of the previous entries in the Black Ops franchise.
Treyarch Studios has officially confirmed that it’ll introduce two brand-new Call of Duty Zombies maps to the upcoming Black Ops 6. Similar to previous CoD Zombies maps, the new maps are going to be massive and filled to the brim with destruction and, of course, zombies. The two upcoming round-based Black Ops 6 Zombies maps are known as Terminus and Liberty Falls.
Located in West Virginia, Liberty Falls is the place where an incident surrounding the Dark Aether incident took place in the Appalachian Mountains - now full of Zombies who are prepared to take you alive. The other map is Terminus Island, also called the Blacksite 13 facility. This is an exciting nighttime map that’s situated in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
Terminus Island follows the Dark Aether lore from the previous Black Ops Cold Wars Zombies mode. In this map, we’ll see the return of the iconic squad, i.e., Grey, Carver, Weaver, Strauss, and the pilot called Raptor One. The developers also announced that these two Black Ops Zombies maps are going to feature connected storylines occurring simultaneously.
Currently, there isn’t much known about the story of the new CoD Zombies except for the basics. The upcoming Black Ops Zombies storyline is set to build upon the narrative of the Dark Aether that players were first introduced to back in Black Ops Cold War. At the end of the game’s story, players finally cracked the code behind Richtofen being the Requiem director.
He was the vicious bad guy who had betrayed the unit by shipping them off to various different locations. However, the soon-to-release Call of Duty 2024 game is set nearly five years after the Black Ops Cold War events took place. In Black Ops 6, we’ll see Dr. Peck get his hands on a boat in Japan as he embarks on a journey to rescue “old friends” from a research facility.
This is where the new Call of Duty Zombies character joins the story as she helps Peck rescue Weaver, Carver, and Grey.
Easter Egg quests are once again making a comeback in the Black Ops 6 Zombies mode. Terminus Island is set to feature Easter Egg quests alongside multiple side quests for players to solve. Therefore, make sure to explore every inch of the island to uncover some of those juicy and mysterious secrets. The island also features tactical rafts to help players explore the area.
The game will also feature many iconic Zombies features, such as Power-Ups, the Mystery Box, perk machines, Pack-a-Punch, Wall Buys, and Wonder Weapons. Terminus Island’s Wonder Weapon is officially confirmed to be the BeamSmasher, a weapon that’s similar to a light machine gun in terms of shape and size. It also features two firing modes and a single barrel.
Here are some classic perks along with base effects that Terminus Island is set to feature:
Every CoD player’s favorite GobbleGums are once again returning in Black Ops 6. If you aren’t aware, these items can be used once and offer a limited-time ability. In one match, you can only create a loadout that holds up to three GobbleGums. However, you can earn more GobbleGums in-game. They come in various rarities, including Rare, Epic, Legendary, Ultra, and Whimsical.
The main rule is that the higher the rarity of your GobbleGums, the stronger the GobbleGum’s effect. However, the Whimsical gums are an exception since they offer a unique visual effect. Unfortunately, you cannot share or drop your GobbleGums, but they can be swapped to a different pack at any point while in the middle of a match by heading to the in-game menu.
The Black Ops 6 release date is October 25, so that’s when players can jump into the game and explore all these features. However, if you can’t wait that long, then the Black Ops 6 beta dates are almost here, with early access starting from August 30 to September 4, while open beta is from September 6 to September 9. Here’s where you can opt for Black Ops 6 pre-order!
If you want to prepare for all aspects of Black Ops 6, make sure you stay tuned for more news from SCUF for any updates on Black Ops 6. Make sure your aim and movement are clean by picking up a SCUF Reflex for PS5, the SCUF Instinct for Xbox Series X/S, or the SCUF Envision for PC, and get ready to top frag all of your lobbies.
